According to French scientists, no organ system appears as vulnerable to aging as the cardiovascular system, and anti-aging therapeutics may help mitigate the effects of cardiovascular disease.

Anti-aging therapeutics may prevent and slow age-related cardiovascular dysfunction.

Participants: Healthy males (age range: 70-76)
Dosage: 1 mg/kg/day of rapamycin for 8 weeks

Supplementing with rapamycin leads to improvements in cardiac and vascular function in older men, suggesting this longevity-associated drug may counteract cardiovascular aging.

Participants: Healthy older adults 
Dosage: 4 × 5 g/day of creatine monohydrate for 5 days, followed by 1 × 5 g/day for 23 days

Creatine improves vascular health while lowering blood glucose and triglyceride levels in older adults.

Combined: Six IV injections of 300 mg/kg every 3rd day for 15 days 30 minutes  before doxorubicin administration
Preventative: Three IV injections of 300 mg/kg every 3rd day for 6 days and then three IV injections of 300 mg/kg every 6th day, coinciding with DOX treatment on days 12, 18, and 24 (DOX started on day 9)
