New Study Finds Midlife May Be a Critical Window to Prevent Brain Aging

A new study suggests that supplementing with ketones—molecules the body can use for energy when lacking sugars—prevents cognitive aging when administered in people’s 40s and 50s.

Based on age-related destabilized brain signaling, a new study suggests a critical midlife window where metabolic interventions may stabilize brain signaling.

Cognitive deficits were reduced by 52% in Alzheimer’s disease patients receiving transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) — a technique that stimulates the brain’s electrical activity.
