Removing an NAD+ transporter called SLC25A51 from insulin-secreting cells mitigates diabetes and reduces senescent cells — cells that contribute to the pathology of age-related diseases.

The most comprehensive brain model reveals that combining NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) supplementation with diet and exercise powerfully modulates brain aging. 


Participants: Healthy older adults 
Dosage: 4 × 5 g/day of creatine monohydrate for 5 days, followed by 1 × 5 g/day for 23 days

Creatine improves vascular health while lowering blood glucose and triglyceride levels in older adults.

Dosage: 1.5 mg/kg body or rapamycin injected 3 times a week for 4 weeks

The longevity-associated drug rapamycin diminishes muscle size and strength in young rats when compared to untreated but calorically restricted young rats.
