Model: Aged C57B/6 mice (between 18-25 months old) 
Dosage: 5 mg/kg/day of ABT-263 was fed to mice while 50 mg/kg/day of dichloroacetate and metformin were injected. For lifespan, they were administered for five consecutive days, followed by a two-day intermission, then an additional five consecutive days, followed by a 6-week intermission.

The combination of dichloroacetate, metformin, and ABT-263 eliminates cancer cells and age-promoting senescent cells while improving endurance and extending lifespan in mice.

Aging &amp; Longevity

Participants: Sedentary older adults 
Dosage: 6 mg/week of rapamycin

In older adults, the FDA-approved drug rapamycin, associated with prolonging lifespan, blunts improvements in physical performance.

Skin &amp; Muscle

While improving immune health, the NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) precursor NR (nicotinamide riboside) may induce anxiety-like behavior in stressed, aged mice.

Model: Cybrids composed of Rho0 cells with human platelet mitochondrial DNA from participants between 7 days old and 99 years old 
Dosage: 5 mM of n-Acetyl-L-Cysteine and 3 mM of nicotinamide riboside, with medium changed every three days until the cell population reached between 1 and 10 million
