Participants: Healthy males (age range: 70-76)
Dosage: 1 mg/kg/day of rapamycin for 8 weeks

Supplementing with rapamycin leads to improvements in cardiac and vascular function in older men, suggesting this longevity-associated drug may counteract cardiovascular aging.

Model: Aged mice (18 months old) underwent exploratory laparotomy under isoflurane anesthesia to induce POCD.
Dosage: Berberine was given by oral gavage at 100 mg/kg per day for 14 days after surgery.
