Unpublished Results Show NMNH Triples NAD+ in First Human Trial

According to newly released results from a first-of-its-kind clinical trial, reduced nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMNH) triples circulating NAD+ and improves subjective quality of life scores.

Results from a first-of-its-kind human trial show that reduced nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMNH) triples circulating NAD+ levels.

Clinical Trials

Model: Male C57BL/6J mice 
Dosage: 150 mg/kg/day of diallyl sulforated compounds in food

Diallyl sulfonated compounds (DAS), found in garlic, extend the lifespan of mice while counteracting signs of aging, such as grip weakness and memory loss.

Aging &amp; Longevity

Model: Young C57BL/6J mice fed a high protein (56% of daily calories) diet for 20 weeks 
Dosage: Injection with either 400 mg/kg of NMN or 20 mg/kg of 78c for 4 weeks

High protein intake improves the body composition of aged mice, but it lowers NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) levels and promotes metabolic aging. 

Metabolism

Model: Male COX7RP transgenic mice with systemic overexpression of COX7RP, aged under standard laboratory conditions and compared with age-matched wild-type controls.
Dosage: Not applicable. COX7RP activity was increased via genetic overexpression rather than drug administration.

Boosting mitochondrial efficiency by increasing COX7RP activity extended lifespan in mice while improving energy production and reducing inflammation.

Model: Naturally aged 24-month-old C57BL/6 mice 
Dose: 0.1 mg/kg/day of folic acid administered orally for 12 months

Supplementation with vitamin B9, also known as folic acid or folate, prevents cellular senescence and slows vascular aging in naturally aged mice.
