Model: 27-month-old male C57BL/6N mice 
Dosage: 50 mg/kg/day of fisetin for 1 week, followed by no treatment for 2 weeks, followed by another week of treatment

Plant-based molecule fisetin preserves muscle mass and strength in older mice via senolytic action — removal of senescent (dysfunctional) cells.

Carvedilol, a blood pressure medication, and the senolytic agent ABT-263 both attenuate cellular senescence—an age-related, dysfunctional cellular state—driven by a gut bacterial metabolite in mice.

Columbia University scientists find that senolytics — compounds that remove age-promoting cells — restore hair follicle regeneration in a human cell/mouse model.

A senolytic compound and anti-cancer drug called ABT-263 accelerates ovarian aging in aged mice, suggesting it promotes infertility.
