Finalist Teams Awarded $1 Million in XPrize Healthspan Contest to Transform Healthy Aging

The XPrize Healthspan—which will split $101 million among teams developing therapeutics to restore muscle, cognitive, and immune function in older adults—has named 10 teams receiving $1 million each.

The XPrize Healthspan competition has named its top 20 finalist groups that will submit their aging intervention therapies for human trial testing.

Aging &amp; Longevity

Model: Female Balb/c mice exposed to ultraviolet radiation 
Dosage: 2%, 5%, 7.5%, or 12.5% of nicotinamide (weight/volume) applied topically, once daily, five times per week

The NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) precursor nicotinamide prevents skin aging, in part by targeting age-promoting senescent cells in mice. 


Ranked fourth on the Rejuvenation Olympics leaderboard, 30-year-old Siim Land lists the supplements he takes to stay young. 


Based on human evidence, Harvard and MIT scientists determine the most promising anti-aging interventions, including NAD+ precursors, spermidine, and senolytics.
